Whatever your reason for seeking therapy at this time, know that you are not alone. You’ve taken a big step by searching for a therapist; I encourage you to take the next step and start! Anxiety, depression, emotional outbursts, anger, relationship conflicts, boundaries, self-doubt, whatever you want to work on, begin today.
I’m an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor currently practicing in Newbury Park and via Telehealth. I have a Masters Degree in Counseling from the Townsend Institute at Concordia University Irvine, and I enjoy coming alongside my clients as they pursue growth and healing. I am particularly passionate about helping others process and move beyond the effects of past trauma. I am trained in EMDR, Sand Tray, Play Therapy, and Trauma Resiliency Model (TRM), an evidence-based somatic approach.
Outside of counseling, I most enjoy spending time with my family – watching movies or the latest binge-worthy show, or just hanging out. My happy place is anywhere I can sit and see water – lake, ocean, pool, doesn’t matter, as long as there’s water in the view! I credit the Dodgers for getting us through the pandemic; I follow them and football a little more than I probably should – it’s my other happy place.
I believe everyone deserves to feel heard, seen, and understood. Meeting those needs in the therapy relationship helps to promote growth, healing, and change. Building this relationship is my first goal; what comes next is based entirely on your goals. Let’s talk about what you’re looking for in therapy and see if we are a good fit
