Hi! My name is Deena Rose. I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist as well and a Registered Nurse in Newbury Park, California. I graduated from National University where I earned both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in psychology with a specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy.
I believe we all need a safe place to work on ourselves, heal, grow, and flourish. My goal is to provide my clients an environment that allows them to feel comfortable being themselves. My perspective is that each of our life experiences are unique and therapeutic work should be individualized to meet each person’s needs. I use a variety of modalities to help my clients reach their goals. Some of these modalities include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, assessing readiness for change, attachment work, a client-centered approach, EMDR, just to name a few. I applaud you for investing time to research therapy for yourself. This can be one of the toughest steps.
My interest in becoming a therapist goes back to my sophomore year in high school. I was conflicted between becoming a psychotherapist or a registered nurse and I have been lucky enough to do both. My journey as a therapist began later after my children were old enough for me to have the time to go back to school. Being a therapist is my true passion and I enjoy every minute of the work I do.
My off time is spent with my family. I love to cook especially, Italian food. I love the ocean, SCUBA diving, reading, traveling, and Disneyland.
If you feel like I might be a good fit for you, I would love to talk to you and see if we can work together.
