Heather Williams-Baumgart

Associate Marriage & Family Therapist

Hello! I’m Heather.

My journey into therapy wasn’t a straight line. It started in the world of art and fashion, where I spent over a decade exploring how our choice of clothing can influence our self-esteem and empower us. While I loved the creativity of fashion, I felt a deeper calling to help people in a more direct and meaningful way. This led me to pivot my career towards psychology, combining my passion for art with my desire to support personal growth and empowerment.

As a therapist, I focus on helping people navigate through their personal challenges and improve how they connect with others. My experience as a foster parent has given me a unique perspective, especially in working with children, teens, and families navigating the foster care system. I’m dedicated to providing a supportive, respectful, and adaptive approach tailored to the unique needs of each client.

My Approach

In our sessions, I believe in a collaborative process, where your needs guide our work together. My methods include a variety of techniques like EMDR, art therapy, mindfulness practices, and cognitive-behavioral strategies, among others. These are chosen to best support your journey towards understanding yourself better and finding new ways to approach life’s challenges.

My goal is for you to leave therapy feeling empowered, with a stronger sense of self and the tools to face life with confidence. I aim to create a space where you feel heard, valued, and genuinely supported, enabling you to move towards a more fulfilling and balanced life.

Together, we’ll work on uncovering your strengths and finding pathways to healing that resonate with you, aiming for not just recovery, but personal growth and empowerment.

If you're ready to take the next step towards healing and connection, please reach out and schedule a session. I'm here to support you every step of the way.
