Associate Professional Clinical Counselor

MaryPat Paulson, APCC at Conejo Valley Family Counseling

Hello! I’m MaryPat.

I have always had a desire to help others and have been mentoring young girls and women for 35 years. After becoming a Certified Life Coach, I decided to pursue a Master's degree from the Townsend Institute at Concordia University, Irvine, to become an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC).

I am passionate about helping others process and move beyond the effects of past trauma. My focus is on helping clients who have experienced trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, career or life transitions, and difficulties in self or relationships.

My Approach

I believe in using an eclectic approach that is unique to each client's needs. My goal is to build a strong connection and relationship with my clients and work towards their goals.

I use a variety of methods, including the Trauma Resiliency Model (TRM), Brainspotting, play therapy, and art therapy techniques.

My hope is that my clients feel seen, heard, and understood. By addressing roadblocks and working together towards their goals, my clients can experience growth, healing, and positive change.

If you're ready to take the next step towards healing and connection, please reach out and schedule a session. I'm here to support you every step of the way.
